Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)
Field Standards
Food Safety Starts in the Field
Our Good Agricultural Practices focus on food safety throughout field and harvesting operations. Established procedures address agricultural water, pre-harvest field conditions, worker health and hygiene, harvesting practices, and the condition and sanitation of food-contact equipment.
These practices are supported by employee training, routine monitoring, documented procedures, and our Food Safety Management System.

Core GAP Practices
Field Selection & Risk Evaluation
Growing areas are evaluated before planting to identify potential food safety risks and help minimize exposure to possible sources of contamination.
Agricultural Water Management
Agricultural water sources and irrigation systems are monitored under established food safety procedures, with testing conducted as appropriate based on water source and applicable requirements.
Worker Health & Hygiene
Employees working in growing and field operations receive food safety and hygiene training and follow established practices designed to protect the product.
Field Equipment & Sanitation
Equipment and food-contact surfaces used in field operations are inspected, cleaned, and maintained according to established sanitation procedures.
