South Florida Supply

Grower-Direct Supply for South Florida

Miami buys watermelon year-round rather than seasonally, because South Florida foodservice and the Latin and Caribbean grocery trade never stop moving it. Our Florida growing region shortens the origin distance while it is in season, and our Texas and Southern Mexico rotation carries the rest of the calendar without a gap. Every load is grown, harvested, field-binned and packed inside our own operation, so fruit arriving in Doral or Medley carries the same traceability record as fruit going anywhere else we ship. One supplier, one document trail, refrigerated the whole way.

Five Growing Regions, One Continuous Calendar

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you supply Miami through the winter?
Yes. From September through March our production comes from Southern Mexico through our Texas border facilities, which is the window most single-region suppliers cannot cover. South Florida programs stay stocked through the whole calendar.
Where is your fruit grown?
We grow in Southern Mexico, South Texas in the Rio Grande Valley, West Texas around Quemado and Seminole, Florida and Georgia. The regions rotate through the year, and every one of them is farmed, harvested and packed by our own operation.
Do you support EDI and scheduled dock appointments?
Yes. We transmit EDI and ASN documents and book against your dock appointment system so receiving has the load details in advance. Send your routing guide and trading partner details and we will configure it before the first delivery.
