North Texas Distribution

One-Day Cold-Chain Freight to the Metroplex

Dallas/Fort Worth is a sorting point for produce moving across the southern half of the country, and Metroplex distribution centers rebuild loads for receivers well beyond North Texas. That makes inbound consistency the whole job. Our watermelons are harvested, field-binned and packed at our own operation in Edinburg, Texas, then loaded onto refrigerated full truckloads that run north on I-35 into Dallas, Fort Worth and the mid-cities. Nothing changes hands at a broker in between. You are buying from the grower, on a one-day transit, with the harvest record attached to the load.

Rotational Growing & 52-Week Availability

Most watermelon programs go quiet the moment a single region finishes its season. Ours does not, because the growing calendar is planned as one rotation rather than one harvest. Two windows carry the Metroplex through the year:

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order for Dallas/Fort Worth delivery?
We ship in full truckload quantities, so one FTL is the minimum for Metroplex receivers, whether the load is wholesale bulk or retail packaging. If your program needs a mixed configuration, send us the volume and the dock schedule and we will build the load around it.
Which food safety certifications do you hold?
We operate under PrimusGFS, GAP and GMP, and we comply with FSMA Rule 204 traceability requirements. We also run our own annual certification process across the growing and packing operation. Ask your account contact for current documentation.
Can you support our EDI and dock scheduling requirements?
Yes. We support EDI and ASN transmission and book against your dock appointment system, so receiving sees the load before it arrives. Send us your routing guide and trading partner details and we will set it up before the first order ships.
